“Everyone has glowing embers inside … You can’t always see them, they’re just there, like fuel inside us, an energy source that pushes us onward in life and that never runs out, whatever happens to us.”
That is GLÖD (GLOW) magazine’s motto. We hope all of our readers will feel they have those embers in common with others who read GLÖD. We hope you will recognise yourself in the magazine, whatever your life is like and wherever you live.
GLÖD is published four or five times a year. The magazine is produced mainly for teenagers. At times it is even used as a teaching aid for classes in sex education, life skills and other school subjects.
This is the first English-language issue of GLÖD. We have collected and translated a selection of articles previously published in GLÖD. The main theme of the issue is love, sexuality and gender roles. Ordinarily, GLÖD is published only in Swedish.
